API® STRESS COAT® reduces fish stress up to 40% by instantly removing harmful chemicals found in tap water, and through the healing power of soothing Aloe Vera in its one-of-a-kind formula. API® STRESS COAT® also forms a synthetic slime coat that replaces the natural secretion of slime that may be lost when your fish is sick or stressed, thereby reducing their susceptibility to disease.

More than a dechlorinator, API® STRESS COAT® can be used any time, whether during a water change, as you acclimate a fish to a new tank environment, or in order to heal stressed or sick fish. While not a medication on its own, it can be used in conjunction with medications that target bacterial, fungal, or parasitic infections to promote a speedier recovery. There is no risk of “overdosing” your fish with STRESS COAT®, as it is a mild treatment that won’t harm fish if distributed beyond what is directed on the product label.
